Pretty Lady

If the pace of your life is 'appallingly slow' then the pace of my New York City life--self-employed, with three careers all in a state of uncertainty and struggle, partner in the same position--is somnambulistic. WTF? You have a family, plus a steady SO, plus a jillion friends, plus a jillion projects, plus a job (on hold as it jolly well should be), plus a major health crisis that requires 24/7 vigilance? Plus an inner life so rich that it crushes the minds of those around you?

I repeat, WTF?

Two SOs... 8-) And what I meant I guess is that I spent 4 days basically in bed or up only to shuffle to the kitchen, and felt self conscious about it. But, it is good to have friends who will come by and just hang out without requiring excitement.

Your description of my godzilla-like inner life totally cracked me up!! We are pleased! Yes, the flesh is weak but the inner life will STOMP THE CITY.

Could you use a heating pad underneath? Or a heated mattress bad underneath? You could even find a small one. Are there any heated products that you could use for your legs in sporting equipment stores? Maybe places online that cater to hunters or crazy ice fishers?? Just a thought.

I've thought about the heated mattress pad, but right now am good with electric blankets. I have a small electric blanket on the couch. I did look at some heated socks meant for hunters! V. expensive and the battery pack seems too bulky/heavy.

I like the acorn fleece socks on top of another pair of socks for warmth.

This morning I woke up thinking of my old fur-lined boots I wore in the snow in chicago and wondered how to get another pair... must go to the mall or soemthing
