Ralphie

there we go! i remember when me and a friend pulled up on our bicycles right in front. I was 16, had just ran away from home and there i was, at the mecca of punk rock, the veritable egg from which it all sprang from. As we stood gawking at about 5pm in the afternoon, my friend eagerly coaxing me to start our gastronomical parade ofnew york pizza places, i noticed a smallish red headed man that i recognized from a band that opened for the dead kennedy's in houston.
"Excuse me sir, you are david yow of scratch acid arent you?"
He totally got us in via the back door and let us hang out back stage as they were interviewed by the village voice and as they played, we got to stand on the stage right behind the bassist or guitarist! One of the greatest times in my life! He later went on to form jesus lizard and become a huge success, i wonder if he remembers those days and if he thinks about a young, yellow haired mohican from houston whose life he made a bit brighter. it is sad to see such an instition close, but such are the ways of the world...

peets coffee

Fair Trade Coffee is an organization that protects the laborers who work hard to bring you great coffee. Fair Trade

Coffee is produced a bit differently from regular beans, but still ensures that the beans are of the highest caliber.

In the United States people drink a lot of coffee, from cappuccino to espresso. Most people couldn't face a day without

their morning cup, but most people have no clue how coffee is made. Fair Trade Coffee helps bring information on this

process to the many coffee drinkers in the U.S.
