A series of nightmares. This woman almost died at a party... she was Masha's girlfriend, one I'd never seen before. Then she kept changing, sometimes she was my friend Madeline, sometimes Quilty, or a stranger. Her body flopped around in a bed, and we had to keep working to keep her alive. Board games strewn all around... Masha kept yelling at me for not working hard enough, but I wasn't slacking off. The woman whose life we were saving came back to consciousness now and then, but she could barely move. We had to keep gently massaging her to keep her aware of her body so that she'd stay in it.
I went to move my car and pick up some food, and was on my neighbor's porch transferring stuff from one back to another. Realized my skirt (red, plaid) was off. Got dressed. I had a lot of books in the bags mixed in with cartons of take-out food. The neighbors... the policemen... then Moomin complaining we weren't going home fast enough. The policemen taught him to pee standing up, and he peed on everything. I got into my car to move it from the middle of the street, since the partygoers had left. My friend Russell's head was in it! I had forgotten he lost his head at the party too, and was being kept alive by a computer backup of his brain! Glad he was okay, but I was sad for his head & hoped it wouldn't ruin his stories. Began thinking of his stories & of our games. Then: what if he died for real, not just losing his head, and I don't have a copy of the story of the Crystal Palace & the dragons? At this point I woke up in a sweat thinking of all the people I know and not wanting them to die, or their writing either.
boring, unless you're in it, and then it's disconcerting.

That's a scary dream, but at least it reminded me to update my
backup files....

My nightmare last night was being about one second away from being injected by a doctor who was going to put me out and perform involuntary stomach stapling on me. But I was a hero and Stopped Him (by being verbally aggressive, not by fighting).
When I went back to sleep I had a no-pants dream (I never have no-pants dreams. In this one, I was going someplace with Quilter and eventually you and when I found out I had no pants I went back to your house to get pants (you were out on the expedition with Quilter) and got into a phone call with a guy who was calling you to interview you about home-schooling and was a real PITA.
Dreams!

Dream me leads a very active life! What with the expeditions and the near-death experiences and the pantsless/skirtsless people.

How about if tonight all of you come back to my dream again. Leave your pants behind, but bring your heads. 8-)
