when oxygen falls below 91 then it's a problem (and it keeps doing so) he has oxygen next to him to breathe which helps
Was the diluadid just a mistake? (ie with breathing?)

some pee acheived with relaxation technique breathing... but it's painful and i think his bladder cramps up
have now talked to new hospitaler and urologist and surgeon and sedating nurse

It could be either the Dilaudid or the Morphine - or the combination - that is affecting the breathing. On her last surgery, my daughter had a period of about 24 hours afterwords where everytime she would drift off to sleep, she would forget to breathe. It was because they had to up the Morphine so much to keep her out of pain, and were giving her valium along with it to stop muscle spasming. I never want to hear another one of those oxygen sat. alarm things. Hang in there. Hopefully, as soon as he can go to a lower dose on the painkiller, the breathing will even out.
