Is there a possibility of not keeping it together. Of getting out for a few hours and doing something completely random and non-Moomin-related? Maybe even with Rook? I'm thinking like bowling, or something else with physicality and loud noise. Or something way quiet and relaxing. Or whatever.
Nobody should have to keep it together all the time.

Ha! You can drink the pumpkin ale, and then I bet you'll feel plenty maudlin.
