So glad to hear he's on the mend! Poor little guy.

laura Q

yaay! moomin. surgery survivor. his first cool scar! now he truly can be a pirate. something will wing its way toward y'all soon.

whump

Hey, now he'll have a laparoscopy scar to match yours.

He'll be doing better soon.

Heather

You know sometimes those nurses just don't get what super special kids we have- they just don't know.

Lisa Hirsch

Love to you all; this sounds so wearing, emotionally and physically.

elswhere

I misread that as "quite a lot of prurient material," which didn't seem exactly right, somehow, as he's too old to eat magazines. Then-- oh, right.

Glad he's safe.

badgerbag

They not only used the word "purulent" but also "suppurating" and "incredible mess" ... apparently there was a lot of pus. I kind of wish I got to see, because I'm gross that way.

cynthia

Seeing the words "purulent", "suppurating", and "incredible mess" is scary to read, and I'm sure infinitely more scary to hear when it's your child they're talking about. I'm glad to hear that Moomin will be doing much better. Hugs to you and Rook...

Chula

Holy shit, that's scary! I'm glad he's doing better though...

I got some new Fantastic Four comics for Milo, plus a Spiderman meets Werewolf By Night comic that everybody's saying is really good and kid friendly. I'll bring 'em down on Thursday.

betsyl

glad to hear he's out!

Rose

I am glad he is ok!

Rose

badgerbag

Thanks y'all. I'm home for the night...

lori

Glad to hear he's on the mend.

Iris

And now he is ready for adventures in far, uncharted waters. A friend of mine had to have his appendix out at the last second before a desert expedition because the other cool explorers had just assumed that anyone who was anyone would have done it years before.

Ide Cyan

Get well soon, Moomin!

Vibrating Liz

Yikes!! He must have REALLY been in some serious agony. Poor little guy, what a scary ordeal for everyone.

Meredith

Holy crap! I have to check your blog more often. I did not know Moomin was in the hospital! We will swing by this weekend with gifts galore! I am so glad he is ok!

bri

Good God, I had no earthly idea.

Prepare for a descent from our family with aforementioned loving attention.
