Jo and I had a difficult talk, touching on some super painful issues, sitting on the picnic bench at the playground. Rook ran around like a maniac with the kids, to keep them away and also to give us private space to talk.
I am not the greatest listener: I talk a lot; I give advice and then contradict it with other possible advice; I try to "fix" them; I start talking about myself; I get confused and wonder what the other person wants me to say and then instead of saying it, I say the opposite; I rant abstractly when fired up without thinking of what might be personal and hurtful. Worst of all: digging the talker further into their pain by asking brutal questions. Then I advocate extreme measures. "Become a hydrotherapist! A park ranger! Join a belly dancing troupe! Get a huge tattoo! Travel around the world! Assassinate someone! Blog about your hemorrhoids!"
She might better have been talking to Rook...
My friends all probably get this by now and do not expect patient wisdom from the Badger.
Oh puleeze. It was one of the better talks I've had with my friends in a long time. I like to get real despite the pain of where I am. I think I might blog about my Hitachi Magic Wand and make everything better.

Hey. You're home. Take me swimming!
I was thinking maybe a group blog for people who suffer from anal fissures... A real moneymaker, that one!

How about a blog ring having to do with diarrhea!

"How about a blog ring having to do with diarrhea!"
Seems that that's what most blog rings are about.

I vote for "join a belly dancing troupe." Maybe geography is having its way with me?
