One is "supposed" to give tiny cardboard valentines in the gender of one's own self, not the gender of the recipient, when one is in the lower primary grades...
If one cooks the rice in a rice steamer and forgets half the water out of absentmindedness, it doesn't work to put the extra water in and start the rice steamer a second time. And then it extra doesn't work if you try to rescue the same rice again by putting it into a regular pan with more water and forgetting it until it burns and sets off the smoke alarm, but luckily the rice on top will now be more or less edible.
If one ties oneself to the bed by the leg, out of some misguided sense of mountain climbing or exploring, it should never be to the top bunk.
Rough day for you.
Hope it got better!
Did you ever have the rice?

Of course I ate the rice! It wasn't rough, just silly in spots.

Oh, dear-- the valentines...Moomin is such a thoughtful soul.
MG also insisted that boys would want valentines appropriate to their gender, not hers, & refused to give them Hello Kitty cards. She ended up giving gender-neutral puppy-and-kitten cards to everyone. But I think she just likes hoarding ol' HK & didn't want to give any of them away.
