Wow - I'd read about their mating habits before, but never actually *seen* it happening... that was remarkable...

As it is so damp here we have many slugs, although not blue, and I have always had a secret fondness for them that no one else can understand. They have that cute 'interested' look like cats with their ears forward. (I am speaking as a lay scientist here).

According to my researches, the leopard slug is only about 4 inches long. But imagine if it were two foot-long banana slugs! I don't think I'm ready to witness that.
