2 more hours to get my head together, do homework and take a shower. I have not done the reading for one class and possibly worse, I confessed it. But if I don't then Prof. F. will stare right at me and try to make me talk. every class she pokes the hell out of me to see if I've had any new ideas. So I felt like I should warn her there's nothing in the hopper this week.
Norad's work on my Perlllongher translation was great yet devastating as I thought this time I had caught most everything double-meaning. But I had not, and there were giant glaring misinterpretations or misunderstanding. for example I went by the dictionary of what a particular word meant and it seemed to mean a grater or grating or like, a washboard? agitation, interruption? but instead! it means a washbasin, specifically a specially shaped one that they used in buenosaires to wash clothes, sort of a roundy gourd shape, or you might have one in a hotel wwith a pitcher to wash your face etc. old-fashioned... so a palllangana lined with emery would be an especially drastic bad thing, like the reverse of a fur teacup. and it goes with the idea of the erasure or disintegration of the thick line or the rayon fabric, the falling-apart of the Image. Oh, horrors, for I sent the draft of it to Professor Importantguy already.
