Two things this morning:
I woke up with my nose stuffed up back into my ears and a bad case of vertigo.
We put out the humane society trap for feral cats at midnight and when we woke up there was an opossum in there. I went out to see it, thinking Moomin might like to look at it before we let it go. But it looked horribly dead with its mouth open, totally motionless, and ants all over its face. ants crawling everywhere on it! Ugh! ugh! ugh! Rook went to look and to put it in a bag and throw it away (as the Humane Soc. wouldn't do anything with it).
"It's not dead. Its teeth are stuck on the cage."
Rook is a hero -- he put on the welding gloves, gently unhooked the teeth of the panicked, nastylooking, ant-covered possum, and let it go.
So much for the cat trap.
I have no idea what to think about the vertigo. The room spins around. Walking or moving my head toomuch makes it worse. I took half a meclazine, and that's helping. I shall also get up in a minute and take some super duper allergy meds. If I keep my head still then it's pretty much okay. I'm hoping whatever it is will go away by 2pm when I must get Moomin.
Why does this happen? Grrrrrr.
