It occurred to me yesterday that I could hose off the giant HellTree and try to knock its remaining flowers and pollen off of it and in general do what rain would do. The yard and driveway and front of the house are now hosed down soaking wet and the pollen is in theory neutralized. I think I should now put my sturdy extra-thick painters' mask on again and scoop the piles of pollen up into bags.
I'm glad I thought of it, but why didn't this occur to me weeks ago?! Dammit. It might have saved us much misery.

if i were really smart i would also have thought of hiring some guys to come hose it all down and sweep it up instead of just now trying to do it myself.
